 Have you heard of the gate of hell?

The place shown in the picture is called the Gate of Hell.

How did this place come about?

It is located in Turkmenistan. In 1971, the Soviet Union decided to consume all of Turkmenistan's natural resources. Accordingly, it was found that there is natural gas in this place. Later, when digging the ground with various tools, as shown in the picture, a very large amount has sunk. Later, they set fire to this place with the aim of destroying this gas trap. 

Was it destroyed by fire?

not ! Something that no one thought happened... This fire did not go out... This place is still burning today... The reason for this is that natural gases have been coming out of it since then.

It is called the gate of hell because of this fire.
