Jeju Fire Festival
Best of health and welcome harvest. This is one of the most famous festivals in Korean, celebrated for 3 days in late February and March.
The beautiful city of Jeju is lit to pray and welcome a new year of good health, happiness and abundant harvest.
It symbolizes the ancient custom of burning the old grass to eliminate worms before resuming the next farming season.
This is a unique festival and the sight of the hill town on fire looks amazing and breathtaking.
The festival is also celebrated with folk dances, torch processions and tribal games and activities.
