Wallace Hartley who played the violin a few moments before he died

Wallace Hartley is a brave violinist in the band who played music continuously while the Titanic was sinking. He also drowned in the cold ocean along with the Titanic.

Ten days after the ship sank, his body was found in the nearby wreckage along with his water-damaged violin.

There is a note like this written in one place of that violin.'' For Wallace on the occasion of our engagement. From Maria''.

Later, the authorities returned the violin to Wallace's wife, Maria. It was later sold at an auction in 2013 for $1.7 million.

And still this violin is considered to be one of the most exquisite and beloved artefacts found in the wreckage of the Titanic.
