The Last Supper

The Last Supper

This is a 15th century painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It started to be worn in 1495. Ludovico Sforza, a duke of Milan, asked Leonardo da Vinci to paint a picture of Jesus' Last Supper for Christmas. All the characters here,

Bartholomew

James Minor

Andrew

Peter

John

Thomas

Philip

Matthew

Thaddeus

Simon drew but not the evil Judas and Jesus. He wanted to wear someone as beautiful and virtuous as Jesus. He met a man working in a bakery to paint. By looking at his face he drew Jesus. But it took someone very evil to play the evil Judas. Leonardo drew a drunken man and went to paint the picture. After barely regaining consciousness, he said he saw the picture. Then Leonardo finished the painting. In hindsight, it was actually the man from the bakery who drew Jesus earlier. The same person is used to paint Judas and Jesus in that painting. This is located in the Santa Maria Delle Grazie Milan museum. Below is a picture of the Last Supper. Surrounded by it is the evil Judas.
